Summary: "great little bags"

I purchased this book because the author and bag designer M'Liss Rae Hawley writes such easy to follow instructions and I have always been amazed with the finished results of my quilts from her book. I have made three bags from one of the patterns in the book and carry one with my everyday. The other two were gifts. The instructions are easy to follow for quilters or sewers.

Summary: "Inspiring bags, great directions!"

Inspiring bags, great directions and and an easy to use format. How wonderful to see 101 samples in one book! I was pleased to find such variety: everything from an origami bag to a saddle bag. Many embellishment techniques, excellent directions and detailed photographs enabled me to successfully create beautiful, unique bags. The quantity of bags made by each contributor certainly speaks to the fun and versatility of the patterns...I will use this book over and over again!

I own this book and find it to be a creative and fun to work out of. There are 10 different styles of bags and the contributors gallery helps give you many good ideas. I find the instructions to making the bags to be easy and well written. It is a book that beginners to advanced quilters/sewers can enjoy using. Many wonderful techniques.

Summary: "Not a happy purse maker"

I was looking forward to getting this book. I have been looking for direction in making a new style of purses. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The directions aren't that clear in prepping for making the purse. The material printed was repeated over and over, for all the bags. I guess I will be searching again.
