Summary: "Sharp and light, but low quality"
This is a very low cost knife, I got it for 19 bucks. However you get what you pay for. Cons: The pocket clip fell of after just 4 days of wearing in my inner pocket of my duty pants. I also had to tighten the blade right out of the box as it was rather loose and sloopy (had similar probems with S&W knives), this product is also made in china Pros: Very sharp, looks decent, light weight. next kinfe will be Benchmade or Spyderco...

Summary: "Cannot trust this knife"
I bought this knife hoping for a small, sturdy, everyday-carry (EDC) blade. After unboxing the knife, I was not entirely disappointed. The knife seemed solid overall and flipped open easily. It also appeared to have a strong pocket clip, a fairly comfortable grip, a reasonably thick blade. However, two aspects of the knife put me off immediately.
First, the knife was not very sharp. I'm of the opinion that even a cheap blade should ship with an edge that can slice paper and shave a few hairs; this edge could do neither. That being said, if the edge is ground properly, I'm happy to go to work with the Spyderco Sharpmaker. I decided I could work with the edge.
Second, and more importantly, the AutoLAWKS system is, simply put, almost silly in its design and implementation. When the knife flips open, a small metal tab moves in place to prevent the liner lock from disengaging. In order to close the knife, a spring-loaded safety catch must be pulled back while pressure is applied to the liner. However, the safety catch is small and the liner is both stiff and not easy to access. If your hands are big or are cold and numb, I imagine it would be quite difficult to coordinate the closing of the knife. My hands are not especially large, and cold wasn't a problem while I was testing the knife. Nonetheless, I found it difficult to close this knife during normal operation. AutoLAWKS is a poor gimmick. I have tried many folders and a handful of different locking systems; AutoLAWKS is the worst.
I carried this knife for a few days. Boxes were opened, ropes cut, branches pruned, and weeds extracted. All was well. I lived with AutoLAWKS, but wasn't fond of it. Then, while futzing around in the back yard, I flipped the knife open and cut a small branch off a tree. I went to close the knife... Pulled back the safety, thumbed the liner, and pushed. THE LINER WOULDN'T BUDGE! The liner had wedged to the side of the blade. When I fiddled with the liner it moved further to the side of the blade---the wrong side. This is a dangerous malfunction, one that I have not encountered before in a liner-lock folder. I had to pry the liner with needle nose pliers before it would disengage.
I will think twice (or three times) before buying another CRKT folding knife, and I certainly will avoid any knife with AutoLAWKS.

Summary: "Definitely a good buy and an excellent product"
This is my 4th CRKT product that I've purchased and I always pleased with the quality put into their products. The materials are good and the blade is excellent. I chose this smaller version for everyday use.
The autolawk feature is a double edge sword. The benefits are that you will never "accidentally" close the knife against your will and so this will lower the percentage for you to injure yourself when handling your folding knife. The downside is that this smaller folding knife will require you to have some dexterity in order to close it with one hand.
My other 3.5 inch models are much easier to handle and for some reason, the sliding lock mechanism is not as hard to manage as this model. The one logical explanation I can consider, at this time without breaking in the knife, is that the shorter length of the leaf spring lock is causing the user to adhere more pressure to push it aside. - This makes it a little harder to close without two hands. Only time will tell if there will be gradual break in that will permit a better feel to this functionality.
Now aside from this, I have only good things to mention about this model. The tanto model has a nice/thick blade which should endure many tasks. The blade already is sharp out of the box and the grip is very ergonomic and has a strong feel to it. The material used appears to be proven against the weather and this is a excellent price for the M16-10KZ.
Very sleek appearance on top of functionality.

Summary: "Great knife"
This knife is great looking and very functional. I really like that you can adjust the main hinge without any tools. I received the knife with one of the torx screws missing, but I e-mailed CRKT and they sent me the missing screw very quickly.
