Summary: "A Definite Upgrade from our old one."

We used to use a Cuckoo brand rice maker (authentic Japanese) for many years. Our family is now too big for a3 cup cooker, so we bought this one. So far, it is working wonderfully. The rice cooks perfectly. My wife loves the cake and soup settings. Eggs are really easy to hard boil (or soft boil, if you want it). My only problem is getting the bowl out. Just like my old rice cooker, you don't have easy handles to grab. Not a big concern, since I am already used to it from my old one (and this one is easier to get out than my old one). We thought that this cooker would take up too much space, but it is only slightly bigger than our old 3 cup cooker. Overall, I recommend it. In fact, my mother-in-law wants to get one now.

Summary: "Great product"

This one is leagues ahead of other electric rice cookers. The only catch is it takes more time but there is no burning at the bottom which is great. Easy to use and easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Summary: "It cooks rice?"

I love my rice cooker. It's super fantastic. It cooks fast. It's easy to clean. It doesn't take up much space. And I've never cooked rice in it.

You see, I hate the mornings. I'm a grouch. And I'm a hungry person. If I don't eat a good breakfast, I can't have a good day. I love grains, I love steel-cut oatmeal. I love malt-o-meal. I love cream of wheat. But these take a long time to make and clean up. so I bought the rice cooker to cook my grains and it's fantastic!!! I pour everything in the pot before I go to bed. I set the timer. I wake up with hot cereal all ready for me. I eat it. I throw the left overs in my tupperware for lunch. I toss water in the internal cooking pot thing. I'm leave. I come home, pour the water out, lightly scrape some crud off the sides. Put it back together and fill it up with more ingredients for the next day.

It's super! I can't imagine life without it.

Summary: "Nice but not perfect."

It works ok in cooking Chinese Porridge, the reason I want to buy this item. They also have a good timer function that ensure the rice or porridge ready at the right time. All the electrical selections are easy and friendly.

However, the porridge it made is a little bit dry according to my own style. So I have to stop the power a little bit earlier than its automatical stop. Also I need to stir the thing in order to make the porridge even.

Moreover, I have tried the fast cooking function once, and it splilled out.
